Day 6
Pikachu, the yellow ambassador
Know who kids are talking about

Hook
Even people who “don’t do Pokémon” can usually sketch this one from memory.
The bit
Pikachu is the handshake at the door: famous, yellow, electric vibes, lunchbox royalty. Kids meet the cute best-friend version and the powered-up battle version depending on which door they walked through. Both count. No quiz at the end.
When your kid talks Pikachu, they’re often talking about recognition — the character everyone can picture. That’s social glue. You can join with almost zero homework: yellow, zap energy, loyal partner chaos.
If Pikachu isn’t their personal favorite, still treat the name like a shared language. It’s the bridge for cousins, grandparents, and the friend who only knows “the yellow one.”

Why kids light up
Fame they can personally claim. Arguing cute-vs-powered-up is a joyful sport with no final exam.

Try this tonight
Cute classic Pikachu or powered-up battle Pikachu — which cabinet are they in?
Rabbit hole
Ask which Pikachu moment they’d show a total beginner. Watch or look for thirty seconds. Assignment complete.
